Getting PGWP...

i am planning to take a 8 months certificate program (fulltime) and then a 6 months program (fulltime) afterwards. However, I'm not sure about getting PGWP because my last program is just 6 months. Should I take the 8 months later or it doesn't matter?

So is the first course only classified as an 8 month course or 1 year ? Courses need to be 8 months or more and the second course needs to be at least a one year course so would not qualify towards a PGWP application.
