hi, we need some information and clarification, pls note following status of our case

there is a company in canada toronto who wants to higher me and my wife.

all the initial procedures are done before applying for LMO, now they are going to apply for LMO on 13th of June for my wife, we heard that LMO will take two to 4 weeks. ( request you to advise)

we came to know when they will apply for LMO for my wife then they also have to mention husbands name and our daughters name so that we will also get a approval to accompany my wife. ( request you to confirm is this correct)

Request you to advise after getting work permit, what is the procedure to get Permenent residance and how much time it will take.

as company is applying LMO only for my wife but they, so i dont have approval to work in Canada so after rching to canada then they have to apply for my LMO/work permit also

thanks allot

2 to 4 weeks seems like a short time unless they already had an open LMO and just need to add your wife's name. She does need to include your name and your daughters.

After getting the LMO, your wife can apply for her work permit. As long as her position is skilled, you can apply for an open work permit based on her permit and your daughter should apply for a TRV to come with you, possibly even a study permit for minor if she is of school age.

Your wife can apply for PR under Canadian experience class after one year of working full time in a skilled position. She would naturally include you and your daughter on the application. Processing the PR may take 13-14 months.

Hi Thanks for your below information, pls note that particular company does not have an open lmo they have applied for my wife's LMO. Request you to advice how much time it take to get the LMO in general.

And once the LMO is done then how much time it takes to get work permit.

Can myself and my daughter can travel on visit visa along with my wife and after reaching Canada I can apply for myself and for my daughter.

Getting the LMO can easily take a couple of months. After getting the LMO, if she applies for a work permit through her visa office, you can see the processing times here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/workers.asp depending on where you live. If she is visa exempt to Canada, there is also the option of just all of your showing up in Canada with her LMO. She could get her work permit immediately on entry and you get your open permit.

If you are not visa exempt, she will have to apply from outside. If your plan is to stay with her with your daughter in Canada, you should actually apply for your open work permit right away and a study permit for minor for your daughter if she is of school age but it is also an option to just apply for TRV for you and your daughter because maybe your original intention is just to visit and see how everything looks. If you then decide to stay, you would apply for the open work permit from inside Canada.
