If I come to Canada on study permit for 1 year and the after completing my studies can I go back to India for a month get married>come back>get PGWP>Start working and get my wife here on open work permit? or getting married before I come for studies and then can I get her after I get PGWP. Please help

Thank you. I did was bit confused, so thought may be I can clarify that on this forum. I will try to read that again

I have heard that you need to be married an year before you moving on study permit and want to take your wife along. You can not just marry a month before you going and apply for spouse open work permit for the time you study in Canada. And after I get PGWP I am not sure if I can come back to India for a month, marry and then take my wife along with me. So for me it's little confusing, consultants doesn't seems to be good enough to give us right info or guide us to right info on Internet. I wanted to understand this from people experienced of all these situations on this forum.

Thank you for the proper explanation of your confusion.

Why do not you marry now? And then after a year on study permit in Canada she could try to get into Canada on visitor visa and then apply for open work permit?
At the same time, if you have a good proof she is your a fiancee now but decided to marry after a year in Canada - it is all the same.

The best way to get back with her as a wife , IMHO, is if you get PGWP and find a job. Employee will allow you to go back for, let's say, couple of weeks to get married and to bring your wife into Canada. Having a job will help you to pass POE :) and shows to VO that you can support your wife in Canada.
