Getting OHİP card after making temporary landing

Good Day! Me and my husband made soft landing September 2018 and stayed for a week, then we returned to our home country (our PR cards were sent to us by our friends) and plan to permanently relocate in Spring 2020. During our week long stay in Toronto we did not apply for OHIP. Would we be eligible to apply once we permanently move and would the wait time be 3 months after establishing residence in 2020?

You didn’t qualify to apply for ohip in 2018. Yes you will qualify if you settle in Ontario in 2020 and continue to meet the residency requirements.
