Getting Married during Covid

After reading an article that the borders could be closed till next summer, I'm really starting to stress out. I live in America and my fiance lives in Canada. The plan was for me to fly out there in March to get married, come back to America and do the Outland application. But now I'm really stressed about how we're going to even get married, let alone the application process. If the borders are still closed, I know I can do a visit as their significant other but that requires a 14 day quarantine. And I'd have to have my child with me. The idea of traveling to Canada, staying stuck in the house (and making my child do the same) for 14 days straight just to get married and leave is really difficult to think about.
Does anyone else have any other ideas for how to do this? We can't even start the application until we're legally married. I just want to move on to the next chapter of my life but everything keeps getting more and more difficult.

There are a lot of unknows right now.

As long as the quarantine remains in place, you have to follow it and quarantine for the full 14 days if you come to Canada. None of us here knows how long the quarantine rules are going to be in place.

I don't believe the U.S. has quarantine rules in place. So your fiance can go to the U.S., get married there, and then return to Canada to sponsor you. (Your fiance will have to quarantine in Canada for 14 days once returning from the trip to the U.S.) So that's one option if you don't want to come here and quarantine.

These are your options right now (assuming you haven't lived together for a full year continuously). And as said earlier, really impossible to say how long border restrictions will be in place. I would suggest you look at this positively. You have way more options available than many other people in your situation since you are from the U.S. There are many couple here who would love to be in your situation and have two very viable options available for getting married and being together. Lots of people here don't have that right now.
