Hello guys . I completed my two year of work in Canada and my score is 473 and i am expecting an ITA in the next draw. But I'm getting married in the end of November. Can anyone tell me what if I get married after getting ITA and before eAPR my score will be affected because of my marriage status ? I'm confused what shall I do at this point of time . I would certainly like to add my spouse to the application. Any response is appreciated .

ofcourse you will loose point like in age factor , work experience because i did and my file got refused i was at 816 points then i got married after ITA and my points dropped to 796. my advice to u postpone marriage for few month because if u got married even before ITA u will loose points and u r at 473 lossing 20 points will put u in critical situation .

That sounds surprising to me that 796 points made any difference (assuming the cut off in those draws was already lower).

It is more like change in circumstances not reported to CIC in principle.

The official requirement is that your circumstances shouldn't change between your receiving ITA and electronic application submission.

So say if the OP gets ITA early November, submits application a week latter and isn't married on the date of submission, he won't loose points as per CIC's policy. However, you are supposed to inform CIC of a change in circumstances and follow their instructions from there on.

Here is the official instructions for this
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp

The eAPR is the electronic submission of application. Unless some thing happens which does not qualify you for the immigration program itself i.e. CEC or FSW (not express entry) or CIC believes that your circumstances had changed already at the time of submission of electronic application, you should be fine.

thanks . That's make more sense to me . So it means I should submit my documents and get the eAPR before my wedding ? That way I won't loose any points .?

they explained me that the lowest cut out on that draw was 808 so if i were at 808 or higher it shouldnt be a problem.. but anyways i applied again and i got my copr yesterday

Even I am having similar situation , I have accepted nomination and would be eligible for coming ITA draws. I would like to know the answers for couple of following questions.

1) I was thinking to get marry after 4 months from now but now as I dont want to go alone so would like to know how do I exactly add my spouse into application , so we both can go together instead of me going there first and staying and then applying for her as dependent which i Suppose will take year

2) I can inform CIC that I will be getting marry after 4 months and can add my wife to application at this state also , right?

3) Or , do I need to keep on rejecting ITA's unless i get married?

4) What will be the best way so that I can add her and she can come with me ?

Appreciate your reply.

Accept ITA and continue with your application. Ensure you get married anytime between eAPR and Landing to add your spouse.

Hello,

My reply might be late, you must remember one thing" Honesty is the best policy" so in this case, accept the ITA and inform CIC about the change in circumstances.
check cic website about change in circumstances and how it affects your application (if you get married after ITA but before e-apr or after you submit e-apr but before landing) it is clear there

Hi,

This is Tarun here from India. I would be really thankful if you could please guide me a bit regarding PR process.

Actually I applied for eAPR on 30 Nov, 2017, 6 days before expiry of 90 days deadline.I wasnt married at the time of ITA or eAPR.

I got married on 10th December, 2017 and I got my COPR email from CIC on 28th Dec, 2017. I have decided not to submit my passport to them yet.

I am supposed to inform them about change in my personal situation from single to marriage after eAPR.

Could you please tell me how do I inform them about the same ?

What documents do I need to send them for my spouse. How will it affect my application and COPR ?

How to contact them and inform about my change in personal situation.

Please help.

Thanks & Regards
