Dear All,

I am going through express entry to canada and have a question. If any one of you can answer, I would be deeply grateful.

Question: If a start-up based in Canada (toronto) issues provides an opportunity to work with them, will that be considered for getting 600 points? Are there any guidelines like which companies can make an offer and any range on salary as mandatroty? I will be the 2nd employee in the start-up.

Please advise me on your views and opinions.

Thank you,

Navsan

Size of the organization doesn't matter. What matters is that the job must be NOC 0 or A, pay at least minimum wage for that role and the organization has to have an LMIA approved position for you as an overseas candidate (that means that no local candidate was available to take up that position in Canada). An LMIA process isn't easy (or very difficult) but most companies don't take out the time and efforts to do it.

You will have to improve your IELTS score, get your ECA done and try for some PNP possibly as well. Start here (http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp)

Thank you Asivad on my job offer query. Can you advise if there are any lawyers who can help with LIMA process. Looking to know how long does it take and how complicated will that be.

There are enough immigration lawyers out there who can help you on this. I recommend checking with your prospective employer if they can arrange this for you. The process is fairly well defined and takes a couple of months at least including at least 28 days of posting the profile on job boards, newspapers etc and inviting other candidates to apply for the position.
