I'm currently working in Canada full time in a permanent position. I've been working here for over a year, and I'm in Canada on an IEC Working Holiday Visa (Open Work Permit). I understand to get points for my current job, I need an LMIA, however I'm very confused about how getting an LMIA works for a position I'm already working.
Is it even possible to get an LMIA for a job I'm already working? If so, what are the requirements and what is the process that I need to undergo to make that happen.
I also read that the fee is waved if it's used for PR purposes. Is that true?
