Getting adaptability points on account of a step aunt

A friend of mine applied for PRC under Skilled Workers Category a year back. In his application thinking that a step relation will not count he did not mention about his step Aunt living in Canada for last four years. Recently, a local counselor advised him to inform about the status of his aunt and he may get some points for that as well. He is already struggling in points scale due to low proficiency in English and he can only make in if he achieves 7 band in all of our IELTS exam.

What do you suggest? should he inform the visa officer about his step aunt who is living in Canada for last four year? will it get him any extra points? that he badly needs

All the members are requested to shed some light on the above mentioned matter.

Thanks for the help.

Aunt is different from step aunt. CIC knows what they were doing by not fixing step aunt when they where compiling their list of relations. There is no harm mentioning the step aunt but i doubt if that will give you any mark. Good luck
