Getting a visitor permit after IEC expires

Hello, I am from South Korea and I am living in Ontario.
I came with Working Holiday visa last year and it has expired in the first week of October.

I have applied for Open Work Permit/Common Law Spouse Sponsorship in August. Since I had applied for it I could stay and keep working under the same condition.

Today my paperwork has returned to me saying some parts were "incomplete" so I will have to get a status first since now I don't have any, and then send it back to them.

It was a long story but my question after all that story is that I am considering to visit South Korea(my country) for under a week and come back to get a visitor status.
Some people gave me an advice that they might reject my re-enter. Is it highly possible from what you know?

I think if I explain it clearly, there isn't really a good reason for them to reject my re-entering.

I'd rather visit Korea, come back and get the visitor permit right away than waiting for a few months after applying for visitor status online.
There's been a personal family reason I have been wanting to visit so I want to see it in a hopeful way.

Any advice any experience you've heard of etc... Would help much.
Thank you.
