Is there anyone who lives outside Canada and got a job offer , I feel it is nearly impossible with LMO process and other hassles employees face in order to hire someone from outside. Just curious, I'm about to give up my hopes for the 600 points .
Hi Intocanada ,Intocanada said:I got here just 4 months back. My NOC is 2174. I was sponsored LMIA & work permit. I applied for this job from India.
Unique technology....what's what? Mainframes, in memory apps? SAP?Intocanada said:I had experience in a very unique technology. I see lot of experts on this programming language back in India but Canada doesn't have many. That is the reason employer took care of LMIA, work permit and other formalities. Frankly, LMIA was also positive because technology was unique.
I applied for this job via company website and also got in contact with HR thru LinkedIn. That worked well for me. To share timelines, I applied for this job in June 2013(when job was posted as contract), did interview in Feb 2014(employer changed the job type to permanent), LMO filed in April, got an LMIA in August(LMO changed to LMIA) and finally landed in Canada in Nov 2014.
One website I can recommend is workbc.ca. You can filter the job based on TFW jobs.
HTH.
I don't think Mainframes and SAP are unique anymore. The technology is so unique that if I share it in this forum I can be identified. Nobody must have heard it in open market. My previous job thought me this technology and my current employer uses my previous employer tools. That's the maximum I can sharebeefdaniel said:Unique technology....what's what?
