I spoke to my line manager in regards to getting a customized letter (job responsibilities, salary etc). He was fine with it. He forwarded my request to the HR person in our department. She was fine with it as well. But, when she forwarded to the company HR, they are saying it will not be possible to get a customized letter.
Should I just get my manager to write a letter and sign it? It won't be on company letterhead most likely. Can someone suggest the best way to proceed? Is this pretty common where companies will deny customized experience letters?
