hi every0ne. .i just got my open work permit and so busy looking for jobs thru various methods.. The thing is, how do we get employers to at least call for an interview..bec i believe if we passed that stage, we hav a big chance of being hired.. I squished my cv to 2pages with a cover leter..any ideas is highly appreciated

Adjust your CV and cover letter to the specific role that you are applying for.
I am not advocating lying, just highlighting the relevant skills that apply to the specific role.

Also, when applying, you need to be aware that many employers (not usually smaller companies) will use software to filter out CV's using keywords... So you need to include the keywords in your application.
Where do you find the keywords - in the job advert'.

Keep copies of all the job postings (and what you sent in response), that way you will have the correct information when you are called o an interview.

Be aware that not all advertised jobs exist - go figure.

thanks baloo. So its okey to just pu t the previous jobs i had as long as its related to their needs? Its like i want to write in d cover letter that 'u will not regret if u hire me because im smart' even if i d0nt have d canadian experience so to speak .. :D ... Well, have to keep ön trying. hi, the cover letter is necessary?
thanks

baloo seems to be right, thats how i got my job

baloo, would you tell me how you got your job? Are you working as a RN or practical nurse?
And did you do the CRNE test, did you find it difficult in that case?
I am thinking off applying but have only 2 years of experience as a RN and one year after graduation
since I already got a job as RN before graduating in my country, now working at an acute medical ward.
