Hi i just have a question for a friend, its his first year in canada and he is planning to sponsor his friend, but now he is living with his aunt? Is it still possible to sponsor his friend even he doesnt have an own place or apartment? Tia for the answer...
 
How is he planning to sponsor a friend? There's no friend immigration stream.

It depends on what kind of friend you are talking about. If it's a gay companion, he can sponsor him under the family class category and if the friend is a "she" then he can marry her then sponsor her under same category provided he's not on welfare.

What is the status of your friend? PR, PP or Citizen? You need to give details if you want a good advice on here. And the best advice will be to speak to an immigration lawyer or consultant. It will only cost you $60 more or less.
 
He is PR, but livng with his aunt as well.... But he has a stable job right now and lives in winnipeg as well.

Good. It's either through marriage or common law partnership (if they've stayed together for at least 12 months). He should go whichever route suits his situation best.

To answer your question, yes he can file but his aunt has to list him on the lease.
 
When you say the friend wasn't declared, he might not be able to sponsor him then.
If the person is a PR, and they were living together for 12 months before he became a PR, then he would have had to declare him. If he didn't, then he cannot sponsor him. If that isn't the case, then yes, he can sponsor him, either as common-law or married.

Rental lease if she has one and if she's an owner, there should be some sort of legal document that shows he contributes by the way of mortgage or something.

I repeat, it's best you talk to an immigration attorney.
