I'm probably posting in the wrong place so I apologise in advance.

I'm looking for general advice about working in Canada. I was out this year for one month, from April to May. I stayed with my second cousin while out there, she lives in Vancouver. I have always loved the idea of being in Canada for good, or even just working in Canada for a long period of time, the country is incredible, and Vancouver is a beautiful city! I spoke to a lot of people on my travels, some of whom were from the UK or from Australia etc and the more I spoke to them, the more I REALLY wanted to come over for work.

I'm twenty years old and I'm a lifeguard, I coach swimming and privately tutor kids for swimming also, I have been a lifeguard for 4 years and haven't missed a day of work since starting. I've been a UK resident since birth, and when I come out to Canada, I have relatives that live in Vancouver, Edmonton, PEI and over the border in Seattle, and Anacortes. I would be staying with my second cousin in Vancouver for my stay. I wasn't looking at doing a job in Lifeguarding or coaching swimming because of the courses involved, I was just wanting to look into basic jobs i.e bar work, waiting tables, behind a counter in a shop, just something that can help me earn my keep and can take in some cash.

I am just looking for generally advice about what I would have to do in order to obtain and working visa? From the things that the people I met said, they were telling me it was relatively easy. I just want to know stuff like:
Do I have to have a job lined up?
Do I have to have any qualifications or already be in a job that fits the Skilled Worker category?
Is it easy?
What are my odds of success?
Amy other advice?

Thank you, and apologies again if I'm in the wrong place!

:)

Assuming you are a UK citizen, and under the age of 30 you can apply for a 1 year IEC (Working Holiday Visa) when it opens in January. You can also apply for a second year.
