I requested GCMS notes to understand the actual status of my citizenship application's after my ceremony was scheduled without email invitation, and then got cancelled due to an "administrative error". To my surprise the latest GCMS notes oddly show the following:
- on 2023/09/11 Client was invited to a video oath ceremony (office: Mississauga)
- on 2023/09/14 In response to the CC inquiry dated 14SEP2023 - request forwarded to officer for action/review (office: GTA-CEN)
- on 2023/09/15 In response to urgent request, applicant was removed from ceremony (office: Mississauga)
Other notable statuses in GMCS report, app status is: Open, reason: TFR-Verification, Final: Granted, Oath: Cancelled, Virtual Ceremony Event Status: Completed, Citizenship e-Certificate Status: Cancelled
Does anyone know or understand what does that mean? I'm concerned about why I was requested to be "removed" from ceremony and what's happening now with my application as nothing shows that I'm queued or placed for another ceremony!
