GCMS notes for visitor visa follow up

Hello all,
My husband and I are currently in Canada on Open Work Permit( I have PGWP. We also applied for visitor visa on November 2021 ,( I was the main applicant). I received my visa but my husband’s is still processing, I’ve called IRCC, submitted IRCC webform, and also followed up through our member of parliament in our city but no update! I noticed we can also submit a request for GCMS notes.. could it be helpful? Is anyone have the same experience?
