GCMS notes and EE profile updates.

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding GCMS notes.

When notes are ordered, are the Agents obligated to "review" the applicants file before generating the notes?

It's just that when I ordered my first set of GCMS notes, it seems like an Agent opened my file and at least looked around, and if I remember correctly, I could see that the "Details" column in my online EE profile changed to Updated at some point.

However... after recently recently receiving my second set of notes, it seems as if the notes were just generated and sent out to me. I believe February 27, 2018 was the last time my profile showed "Updated".

So I'm just trying to see if anyone knows if they have to investigate when they receive the request for case notes, or if they can just type my case number into the system and hit print without bothering to look/check what might be holding up the processing?

I know this is not something everyone would have knowledge of, but was just a little surprised to get my notes and not even see as much as a Ghost Update email this time round, to at least indicate my file had at least been looked at.

Any thoughts are welcome, as I am wary of ordering another set of notes only to find myself with the same result.

Cheers!

I believe an agent / officer has to review the notes before releasing them to you. i.e. they look it over to ensure confidential information is redacted. That's the only level of scrutiny I know of.

Thanks for the reply @ee_candidate!

If that's the case, then I guess if they perhaps only opened the file to look for redactions but didn't actually work on my file/save changes, then that may explain why my profile never changed from Submitted to Updated at any point.

Thanks again!

Cheers!
