Hi Everyone,

Sharing how I answered the question 'GCKey Portal' vs 'IRCC Portal' while renew / apply for visit visa for my parents.

1. IRCC website provides two alternative to file a visit visa - IRCC Portal or GCKey Portal - Link
2. Choose IRCC Portal for these application types. Link
3. Choose GCKey Portal for these application types. Link

In my case IRCC Portal was the obvious choice.
Situation : Parents passports were renewed. Canada TRV applied.
Portal : IRCC Portal

My Parents Application timelines :
Application Submitted : 10th Feb'25
Biometrics Request : 11th Feb'25
Biometrics Completed : 14th Feb'25
Request Passport Submission : 20th Feb'25
Passport Submitted : 28th Feb'25

Waiting for passports now.
