Hi,
My boyfriend is a PR in Canada now (he went six month back). When he was applying for PR, we were dating but he didn't mention me in his PR application as we were not common law partners-we were just casually dating. And also it is not possible for us to show documents of common-law partnership in Bangladesh since it is illegal here.
Now our relation has become more serious and we want to get married and build a life together.
So, our plan is like this:
1. I'll apply for a visitor visa through another friend who is a Canadian citizen.
2. Assuming I am lucky enough to get the Visitor Visa (I have a good corporate job in Bangladesh and so I will have documents to show I would not be at flight risk), I'll go to Canada and we'll get married in Toronto.
3. I'll come back to Bangladesh and then apply OUTLAND via a Family class sponsorship
Now the questions I have:
1. Is there any other gay couple who can share their similar experience?
2. What documents can we have to show as the proof of relationship? - is the married licence from Canada enough?
3. Can we face any difficulty to get married in Canada assuming that I am getting the tourist/visitor visa?
4. Do I need to bring any documents from Bangladesh to get married in Canada?
5. Can you tell me how much time would it take if I apply for family class Sponsorship through Singapore office?
Would be very helpful if someone could provide some answers to these questions.
Bye
Hasan
