This post is just FYI
i have applied for visitor visa for my mother in law, there was no medical test as requested time was within 6 months.
Submitted application online with all required docs on - March 12th, 2018
Got Passport request on - April 4th, 2018
Submitted passport in VFS, Bangalore on - April 5th, 2018
Stamping and passport ready for collection in Bnagalore VFS on - April 6th, 2018

As travel date was on April11th requested for stamping at the earliest possible
Stamping was done very next day and passport was available for collection on April 6th, 2018
I think stamping was done in Bangalore visa office
We never received any SMS alert from VFS though we opted for it.
VFS online status is kinda confusing, but this means that its all done and passport is ready for collection
