Further Medical Examination Request, huh??? Need Help!!!

Hello guys,

I have a quick question on further medical examination. My father (a main applicant) had sent all of our medical results to Canadian high commission, Islamabad, Pakistan. Then after sometime we received our passport request. Of course we sent all of our passports with 10 days. I checked online our case status and it stated "we have started processing your application" therefore i mailed them ( a month ago) asking how long does this process last and when we will get our passports back? I got a response yesterday stating “Your application is in process. Your father will be required to undergo further medical examination for which instructions would be received from our medical office in New Delhi"

What does this all really mean? I thought when we received out passports request, that's usually the last stage. And now somehow my father has to go though an other medical examination. Im wondering if there is conflict in communication. Please enlighten me on this. We have been waiting patiently for a long time.

Nothing is final until the applicants are permitted to land as permanent residents in Canada. Right up to that moment, anything may be asked of you, even things you previously went through, no matter if you were asked to submit your passports before.

They need these additional tests done, so the applicants' course of action is to take the tests and submit the results within the time given them to do so.

Navare, my father is going through the exact same situation. His passports been requested, but after a month of inquiring about the online status which says "case is in process" they responded the same "your father will have to go through further medical examination from medical office in New Delhi". Its been 2 months they have his passport and no letter of further medical examination has been received yet.
