That is a good question , I think if you get a job and you already have your AINP nomination you don't need the proof of funds, but I can be wrong. Let see what the others said

Exactly, I spoke to AINP office regarding a question in Form schedule where you fill nomination details, They said write --NA-- or Not Applicable in Box where you have to write fund transferable to Canada because under Alberta SRS H1B PNP one doesn't need to show funds.

I was concerned about this question but when I called Alberta PNP office, they said simply write NA or Not Applicable.

Fund is very deep question if we read the Process mannual for Provincial Nominee's (whether regular AINP or H1B SRS) it says following paragraph:

Note: This chapter is divided into two sub-chapters: OP7(a) - Quebec Skilled Workers - and OP7(b) -
Provincial Nominees.
Canada has entered into bilateral agreements with many of the provinces (see Appendix B for
program contacts) to allow those provinces to nominate a limited number of persons to become
permanent residents based on the province's assessment of the nominee's ability to contribute to
the economic growth and development of that province.
This sub-chapter explains what the Provincial Nominee Class is and how to process applicants.
2. Program objectives
The Provincial Nominee Class is designed to enable provinces to support the immigration of
persons who have expressed an interest in settling in their province and who the province
believes will be able to contribute to the economic development and prosperity of that province
and Canada.
The Regulations exclude from the Provincial Nominee class any applicant whom it would appear,
based upon evidence, has participated or intend to participate in a passive investment scheme.
As described in the Regulations, this refers to situations where the foreign national invests with
the understanding that the investment will facilitate or lead to their nomination and immigration to
Canada. This provision is meant to prevent the Provincial Nominee program from undermining the
federal Immigrant Investor program.

Hi,
when i submitted forms for AINP i wrote proof of funds as 20,000. Now can i cut that and put N/A since it is not required as per previors replies on this forum.
I got my FBI finger prints in oct, can i submit them. i know they shd be done within 3 months but since in my case its slighlty over 3 mnth, just want to know any one how much they tolerate in case they do

Ok this is what I understand and please somebody confirm:

1.- AINP H1B Nominated already, NO job offer, application to CIC : Proof of funds = $20,000

2.- AINP H1B Nominated already, JOB offer, application to CIC : Proof of funds = N/A

Is this correct?

As per the above discussion, either case, N/A is allowed.

However, we entered the amount that we would be taking with us, as we were not aware of this.

If that's the case, what is the reaon behind asking that form during AINP application? AFAIK the only piece of relevant info in that form is Date of birth and total funds.

I don't think I quite understand your questions, so:
If u mean you already have a job (or job offer) in Canada under tany streams of the AINP, the answer is NO, you don't need a proof of funds.

But if you mean that because you are under the category of AINP Strategic Recruitment Stream, and you DONT have a job in Canada, then you do need proof of funds.

Remember, Folks this is a strategic recruitment system. The strategy behind this program is to get technical skilled professionals from next door country, where they are loosing their legal status, indentured and worry about expiration date. The objective of this program is to get bright and brightest from United States and have them settle in Alberta, permanently so they can also meet their skill shortage. So Program officer are expected to use thier discretion and judgement based on skills, NOC, legal status regardless of funds. Therefore in Process Mannual all program officers are expected to make a decision regardless of passive investment, according to OP chapter 7
