Funds to Carry to CA

Hi All,

I am going to land in Canada on 24th January 2016 for a short duration to activate my PR card. Within a week I will come back to my home country and later in 2 months I will move permanently to Canada. Here, I would like to Know if I need to carry any funds except for funds required for one week. If yes, please advice how much to carry and how it should be like Travelers checks or Cash.

i have same question we r four family member visiting for short time to get PR card so will USA bank statement copy will work as POF?
