Hi,

Me, my husband and our two year old son are planning to apply for PR from India. We have an FD of 4 lakhs and liquid bank balance of only a few thousands. I wanted to know will FD be considered as 'proof of funds'?

If the PR is finalized, we plan to sell our flat that should get us a good amount of money. When should we sell the flat for adequate funds? How much is the minimum requirement?

Thanks

Yes FDs can be shown as PoF. You need to show at least six months of PoF, so decide accordingly when you should sell.

The fund requirements are clearly stated on the CIC website below. Please read..
