Hi - you need to submit your proof of funding with your application. You should include 3 to 6 months original bank statements since CIC will want to be convinced that the money belongs to you, so any large deposits will have to be explained.

Plot ownership is a somewhat grey area. CIC do allow property to be used as proof of funding, as long as you can provide valid estimates and also a mortgage letter for any monies owed so they can see how much equity you hold. But acceptance of property tends to vary from visa office to visa office.

My advice would be to contact the visa office you intend to use and get them to confirm whether or not they would accept equity in plot ownership towards proof of funding.

Please note that when you complete your record of landing once your visa if approved, all of this must be in liquid cash and in a readily transferrable currency such as CAD, UK sterling, USD or Euro.

Best of luck with your application,
Wayne.
