Can i show funds available in my spouse account along with my account statements?

Also, can i show account statements where last name is different in case of my spouse. This is because this account was opened before marriage and she still operates this account.

Please advise.

Yes, if the spouse is accompanying. For the name change attach a Marriage certificate along with any document that shows name before marriage and link it to current name document.

Thanks for clarifying. However do we have any confirmation from group members if they have used statements from spouse account and it worked.

Or do you know where this is documented from CIC to use spouse statements?

Not sure if CIC has documented it on their website...and my hunch is they have not...but logic says if a spouse is accompanying, then the whole fund remans to be utilized by no one else but the family.

If you ask for personal experience, then we ourselves have done so but as you can see from our signature we are still waiting...
