Hi folks,

I am shortly moving to Canada on PR basis and as everyone well aware that we need to show the required funds at the immigration stage. My question is that my family is consist of total 3 members and immigration is done for all 3 of us. But unfortunately my other two family member can't travel and I am travelling alone, in this case should I need to show the same funds specify for three members or I should show only for 1 person only.

Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

If you are the PA you can land before your dependants
Yes your POF should be for a family of 3 (since you application was treated as such)

Based on our experience, POF was not asked upon entry. Just to be safe, just bring just for you and if you can bring the total amount for the entire family, it will be ok. It depends with the immigration officer.

depends on immigration officer to ask for proof but they will certainly ask how much you are carrying in what mode(cash, draft, bank transfer etc..)

The best what I can suggest you is carry fund what is required and mentioned during Immigration application (that is for three), if you are alone (you need to be primary applicant for that) after landing remit it back.

This is the best way

Good Luck
