1. Can we take approximately 2000 Canada Dollars cash
2. 3000 Dollars Travelers Cheques
3 Can I show the remaining balance in the form of bank Statement from the Home Country
i.e India. Do the Canadian Officers accept the bank statement from our country as proof of funds
Or Shall I necessarily show the funds in the form of travellers cheques and cash only

Bank statement from Indian Bank will not help, bank statement of International Bank will be helpful.

Hi Seniors!

What if the bank account is under my wife's name instead of mine? Will that be a problem given I am the principal applicant? She has sufficient funds in her account since one year as proof of funds for settlement. She can transfer to my account but she has to travel to Pakistan, only for this purpose.

Your valuable comments are much appreciated.

Rahat

Bank statement from Indian bank will do, provided there should be enough money when it is converted to the canadian dollars.

Kindly share real time experience if any one has mentioned it. As the CHC New Delhi embassy stated in the email that the funds should be transferable. Reason why I am asking this question is as I have the same doubt which I will clarify by calling CIC in Canada soon.
