On landing, how much minimum amount i need to show (2 adults , 2 kids) ? I have 10,000 in bag right now. Shall I be arranging for more or will that not be a problem on landing? I heard usually its not checked and people get away by showing this much.

Will jewellery be counted as a substitute?

Can I show a letter of bankstatement of someone from UK that he will be sponsoring me if needed?

If you are already Landing, and have your copr and visa counter foil that means they are already done assessing your financial situation. And have already decided that you are capable of providing for yourself ones you have moved to Canada. Just remember thy bringing $10,000 or more You have to declare to the customs officer and prove that it is yours and how you acquired it. This includes monetary substitutes like jewelry and stocks. That has nothing to so with your "landing" but with customs.
You must find the website for Canadian border services. Cause the information there will be useful to you.

That is probably why you have heard people bringing 10,000 or less got in easier because the customs agent won't give a lot of fuss about it.
