Help/Advice needed

I have 478 points. Hopefully i should get the ITA in the next draw. I have 2 questions regarding the documents. Will really appreciate if someone can help

1. I am the principal and the only applicant . I have 12000 CAD Dollars(in local currency) in a joint account with my mom for 3 months. Will that be fine ? Will i need any kind of letter from my mom saying that the money is for me ?

2. I have almost 4 years of experience in NOC 0213 with the same company from sep 2011 - July 2015 . But the company is closed now. I do have an experience letter from them saying what my duties were and the designation i had. Will that be enough ? Is there a specific format for experience letters? Also i am not sure how will CIC verify it as the company is now closed.

Any help would be appreciated.

2. Is your letter on a letterhead signed by a person authorized to issue such a letter? Will you be able to provide other evidence of employment? Tax documents? Payslips? Bank statements?

1. Have you been accumulating the money in your bank account? Will you be able to show the source?
Like on many joint account bank statements there is only your name shown, on the statement issued in your name. However, many of us here would prefer to get an affidavit saying that your mum fully allows to use these money and that they are, indeed, yours.

1.Yes i can get an affidavit. Do i need to show a bank statement or an average balance will do ?
2. Yes the letter is on the company letter head and is signed by the company director.


Also for how long do i need the police certificate for? coz i was not in y home country for the last 5 years for which i have the police certificate. Do i need a police certificate for my home country as well ?

1. Affidavit is great. Bank statements are not necessary if you have the average balance showing the required amount. But if you have a good looking bank statement which is sealed and signed by a bank official. It will definitely be a good asset.

2. Your work experience letter will be just fine. Try to take that extra step to acquire tax slips and whatnot to prove that the company was legit, as the case is different now that the company has shutdown. Briefly explain the situation in your LOE.

You MUST get the police certificates from every country you've lived in for more than 6 months. Skipping a PCC is the number 1 reason for rejection for most candidates. A good police certificate won't include a time frame. It won't have a particular period for which the assessment has been done. That will only complicate the situation.
