I got admit from Memorial University for Masters in Physics.The admission letter says that I have been awarded a financial support of 19400$.Can I use this to show proof of funds for visa application?

Yes if it cover the tuition fees + $10,000 for living expenses, if not then you need to show proof for the remaining money. I received a financial support that covered tuition fees + $10,000 and I only provided the letter of the funding provided by the university as a proof of funds and my study permit was approved without any additional source of funds, Good luck
