The money must be in your account at the time when you send your application (CIO/VO). If the money has been transferred to your account and now you possess this money then no problem.
You may get letter from your bank's responsible authority. i.e. the manager who states that you have this money in your bank account OR attach current bank statement which only shows your current balance.
Note: Current balance means that dont show any transaction, only current balance. This may be a letter from bank's manager. You should discuss with manager and ask that you only require proof of your current balance which dont show any transaction.
Secondly, if you get visa, this money must be with you when you land on Canadian air port as the immigration authorities check the proof of funds.
Thirdly, you have to tell the Canadian official if you have more than $10,000.

The main requirement of "proof of fund" is that this money should be in such a position that you can get it with you to Canada.

Hope this helps

You can also send a letter written by your father, that he gave it to you voluntarily, for he purpose.

With this letter, you can openly enclose your 6-month's Bank A/C statement, with the afore-mentioned amount showing in your account.

It is better than a Letter from the Bank.

Cheers!
