If you have a confirmed job offer with either LMIA or PNP, there is no proof of funds requirement. What ever you show is a bonus.

Personally when applying for work permit i did show bank statements along with pay stubs. But those were more like proof of my actual income in home country. There was barely any thing in the account in terms of savings.

Where ever you fill the field in forms "Funds available for stay in Canada", quote your annual salary offered.

You are most welcome.

Processing times keep changing at different times of year as well based upon an embassy's current situation. Generally speaking Indian embassies should take within 2-3 months max, mostly sooner. Since this time of year is not very heavily occupied (mostly it is mar on wards till july/august for student visas), you should hear back sooner.

And yes medical is a requirement from countries such as India, Pakistan etc. unless you are applying for visit visa.

So either you submit upfront medicals to save time or CIC would send you medical instructions once your application has reached that point.
