Fulltime post secondary student seeking work permit

Hello,
I am a fulltime post secondary student with a study permit that allows me to work for 20hrs per week. I wish to continue my studies but obtain a work permit to be able to work more hours. Is there any way i can go about getting a work permit apart from my study permit?

You would first need to secure a full time job offer from an employer in Canada. Next, that employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA (this is often a 4-6 month process). If the LMIA is approved, you can then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.
