Which is your country of residence mate ?? Did you send documents as per updated checklist where they asked for employment reference letter of spouse as well ??

Whats your country of residence ??
I wud say that time taken depends on the country of residence coz verifications takes longer in different countries.
I would suggest anyone who is replying to this post please mention their country of residence as well as London is visa home for many different countries now..

I know that they changed the checklist in march 2010 to include all the employment reference letters for the spouse as well but i am going to send them the documents as per the Old list when i got my first approval on..
I send case specific enquiry about this to them but no reply so i assume i am going to be okay with old checklist..

is it same case with you too ??

I guess you should be fine.

I will fall under the new criteria and believe I have to send my wife's reference letters too.

Did they ask you to provide all payslips, even from past employers as well?

I am in fast track and i am strictly going by the checklist and checklist does not have mention of pay slips. It only talks about the employment contracts and reference letters and i am going to send only those. Only additional documents i am going to send which they have not asked for is form P60 which is tax proof for the current employment.
I am trying not to confuse them with extra paper which they have not asked for..

I have worked for about 4 different companies in last 10 years and my problem is that one of the employer never handed out Contract of Employment, purely because they are a Recruitment Agency and you work with their end clients, so the only thing I can submit is the Reference letter.

What's your situation? Did you manage to get hold of all previous and current employment contract?

In that case you can submit tax details proof . yes may be salary slips in your case.But if you have appointment letter/ offer letter that should also do..
Two employers my wife worked with (she is main applicant) in india were closed so i could not arrange reference letter from those but she has appointment letter and i will mention that in cover letter that those 2 busineses were closed so i could not arrange reference letter from them and i guess I should be fine..

I am 30 Dec 2009 applicant, CIO sent the first AOR on 18 Feb 2010.
The question is: Must I follow the new checklist instructions of London visa office which ask to provide them with the spouse's job contract and experience letters of the current and past jobs???? Especially that I am ready now to send the application to London,and this step will confuse and detain me.

Compiling documents

Hi,

I'm applying from London but have been told to send the documents to Ottawa as part of a pilot scheme to reduce the London backlog.

The evidence I'm submitting amounts to quite a pile of paperwork. How did everyone else arrange theirs? Did you just organise it by question number and insert the relevant bits after the application pages or put the application on top and all the evidence behind in the right order?

Mine is same case as yours. got AOR on 27th Jan , sending documents as per the old checklist as that was the list published when i got my approval.
@shadylady,
U should index them as per the london specific checklist thats what i am gonna do.. I have another problem where notary authority notarized the documents in a pack and tied them togther coz that was cheapest option other wise it would have costed my GBP 1000 for all papers. Since they are tied togther i cannot fiddle with their order so still thinking of way to index them with in that bundle..
