Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has any answers for me,

I recently applied for EE under CEC however I don't feel I am eligible. I have a couple of years experience in Canada but not under a skilled NOC. During the application I consistently said I DID NOT have any Canadian experience as I was hoping to apply as a FSW where I have an eligible NOC and years of experience, however the application kept pushing me back to CEC. I even cancelled everything and started again and still got pushed through to CEC even though my NOC for Canadian experience doesn't come under skilled.
So I then just provided everything and submitted the app. My Medical has passed but I can't help but think I'm just wasting my time waiting for something that is going to fail. Any ideas?
Again, I didn't want to apply under CEC but it kept pushing me that way and wouldn't give me the option to go FSW. It would come up eligible for both but then automatically send me into the CEC stream. Thanks.

Thanks.

So just to be clear, did you receive ITA under CEC? If you received ITA under CEC, you should have declined ITA at that point. You can't switch an application from CEC to FSW post ITA.

Yes, I only recieved the ITA under CEC initially. I recieved the ITA pretty much straight away.

Q1. Why would I recieve an invitation for CEC if I had said I didn't have any skilled Canadian work experience?

Q2. So should I cancel my app and start again and decline any CEC invite and wait for a FSW invite?

Hey guys,

My NOC codes for my Canadian experience were 5254 and 6421 - neither one is considered skilled. They were both full time and I was on an open permit for a few years as an Aussie. Yet it told me I was eligible for both CEC and FSW and then only invited me to CEC.
Should I be cancelling this application and then reapplying and waiting for a FSW invite? I'm aware these are much slower at the moment also, or that's what I've read anyway.
