Writing to them may not be a good idea coz they probably will take weeks to reply. You can try calling them. No harm. However, good luck trying to get through to a human. I called 4 times and couldn't get through to a human since the system kept bumping me off staying they have high call traffic. They try and push you to an automated service which reads out your file status exactly whats in your CIC profile page! If you keep trying, I am sure at some point, you could get hold of a human operator.

Also remember one more thing. PPR mails are usually triggered in the evenings EST. Also, Sunday was a holiday. You can check your email from late night tonite and you will probably get it one of the nights this week.

I am on day 28th after AOR today. 32 more till meds pass.
My job duties were like 60%-70% match to our NOC, Some ppl on the forum were of view that they should be 80% match, what's your take on this? if you don't mind me asking, what was your percentage?

Believe me, a very rare number of people on this forum has really a clear idea about NOC and job duties.
CIC have never said about "Percentage" of job duties specified in the said NOC. In my opinion it's all a myth, perhaps some would disagree.

I'd like to pin here the official statement given by IRCC on their website. Here it is.

In continuation with the 'Minimum work experience requirement', they say,
"
In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have

• performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
• performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)]."

So, what I infer from this statement is that if you have performed almost all the essential duties and the great number of the main duties, then you are good to go ahead. You fulfil the minimum requirement. It doesn't have to be stringent with 'Percentage'.

And, as far as the percentage is concerned, some might consider 80% as being 'Substantial', whereas others might say 60 - 70% as substantial. It's all subjective.

To conclude, it's IRCC who takes the final decision on this. Let them take it. And be relaxed and enjoy this eagerly waiting time. This time won't come again in your life. Just live it full on. After all, you already have submitted and can't do anything about it now, can you?

Thank you. Yes, I am aware of this statement, read this page many times, but could not conclude anything as its impossible that any one in our NOC be doing all main duties. I know I fulfil the criteria of Lead statement completely, but main duties and essential duties were always a doubt, there is no clear cut distinction and I couldn't find any proper advice because of our rare NOC.
Your advice is the best, all we can do is hope for the best and wait. Thank you, I like your outlook on things.

Guys one of my friends who cleared medical on 6th June (AOR - 3rd April) still hasn't had any update regarding Background checks. Any cause of concern?

Urgent help required. I am currently in IP2 stage. I received a request last week to upload a copy of my passport with 6 months validity. I uploaded my renewed passport's front page (biographical) along with visa stamps but forgot to include the last page (address page- with old passport number info).

Will this be a reason for rejection?

This morning I raised a CSE with the Address page (last page). In addition I raised a cse in may as well as in June with my renewed passport details which included the last page.

Your help and guidance at this stage will be much appreciated.
