FSW: Importance of Bank account history statement

Hi All,

Huge confusion in my mind, does maintaining bank account history is really important for FSW like for 6 months, because I didnt find such thing in CIC website they just said you should have x amount of money in your account. Bank letter mentioning my current balance will work or in any point they can ask for it, what are the chances.

when you initially submit the application, you can simply send the latest bank statement or a bank certificate. But, your local visa office might ask for an updated proof of funds if you do so. At that point, you will be asked to produce 6 month-a year long bank statement/account history. If there is a dip or sudden increase of funds in your account during that period then you better have a very good explanation with proof for the source of such funds, otherwise risk a rejection.

But there is a chance as well that they will not ask for it and only bank certificate will work? somebody told me that now a days the chances for bank statement is very rare. is that true.

As I mentioned above, they MIGHT ask for it. Rest is upto you.
