Dear Fellows!

I am already in EE pool as a primary application with Wife and +3 yrs son under FSW category with a CRS score of <400. I have a potential PostDoctoral Fellow (PDF) Offer from Canadian University. The position is 2-years fixed term, full-time, university HR Dept. is currently exploring to initiate the processing regarding my immigration or work permit etc.

My questions are as follows:
  1. Can I get some points (50-200 range) based upon such 'Arranged Employment' in the EE? So far, I have known from this forum that PDF is LMIA Exempted under C44. If I get can get some points through this offer, it would raise my CRS >400 with most likely chance of getting an ITA. Some on forum are saying I can avail points, and other differs, hence need your proper guidance.
  2. Secondly, If I able to get points, then how should I pursue further? Either by EE route or through work permit? University will send me contract soon probably next week with concrete details, may be they would send me Temporary Work Permit, I don't know how it works.
  3. What would be the NOC Code in this case? PDF is related to my field, I have done PhD (IT), so either it would be NOC 4011 or some other field-specific NOC?
  4. Which route would be valid in my case? a) Should I process resident work permit first, then after landing and joining there, I should pursue further my EE route to get a PR.b) I should update my EE profile, by this PDF work details, and proceed forward EE by getting ITA for PR.
I would really appreciate, if you please guide me properly.

Thanks a lot in advance!

IDeally you shou go through with Limia exempt work permit. you would not get points for arranged job offer because for lima exempt you ought to have been working with them for a year and must still have at least a year on the job by the time you get your PR. for now apply through work permit and once you are there you can apply as Federal skill worker inland. POt Doc is 4011 is it was at a university but if it was at a company or so there is another code. so proceed with work permit for your slef and open work permit of your spouse as the case may apply and when you get there apply for EE
I know someone in the pool who also had a postdoc and went for work permit first
