Hello All,

I know that there are lots of threads on this topic, but I'm still confused. CIC asks for 3 types of Employment records;

1) Offer of Employment [1 required] ---- Offer letter from the company stating start date, duties, benefits and so on.

2) Letter of Employment [1 required] ----

3) Employment Records [for all past and present jobs] ----- Reference letters from past and present employers containing all details about the work and salary and so on.

I'm confused between the letter of employment and Offer of Employment. Are they one of the same thing? The letter of Employment does not have any explanation from CIC.

I appreciate the help. Thank you.

hi all

i have query regarding employment records
actually i have submitted PR application with 2 companies experience

for the recent one i have uploaded all the docs ( exp letter, reference/duties letter, salary info, offer letter, pay slips )

But for the first company that i left around 2.5 year back, i submitted only ( expe letter, relieving letter, reference/duties letter ) and didnt uploaded anything related to salary thing.

So is that fine or do i missed something. and should I submit a CSE for the same giving last payslips n other info

Don't they require:

1. R&R letter: stating start date, finish date, position, full time/part time - on a letterhead.
2. Payslips as proof of salary

Please confirm?

Employment Records

You must provide proof of each of your current and previous work experiences.
Your evidence should include a reference letter from your employer and previous pay stubs, where available.

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include
a. your name,
b. The company's contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address),
c. The signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company.
d. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details:
i. job title, duties/responsibilities,
ii. job status (if current job),
iii. the dates you worked for the company,
iv. the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.

You must scan all documents for this work experience and save them as one file. (Each work experience requires a separate file).

No they are not the same thing.

Offer of employment is the letter that employer gives to u before joining the job. where ur employer and yourself need to sign on it.

letter of employment (just like confirmation letter) as there is no explanation... get a letter from employer/client saying that or confirming that u r working in that position now.. it can show salary, working hours, salary, job duties.... on a letterhead

hope this helps

Do ur first company reference letter contains below info??

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include
a. your name,
b. The company's contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address),
c. The signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company.
d. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details:
