FSW/CEC 1 Year Work Experience Clarification

Hello,

I am confused about the 1 year work experience requirement of IRCC.

So I worked outside of Canada from the 8th of August (Monday) 2022 to the 6th of August 2023 (Sunday). This works out to 363 days and 364 days (end date inclusive). It is on my contract and letter etc. I have since been working in Canada and am waiting for 1 year to be finished to enter express entry since I won't have enough points before.

My issue is IRCC says that for work experience outside of Canada, you have to work:

be at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)

• You can meet this in a few different ways:
  • full time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Now when I count the hours, I have worked 1560 hours exactly (because of the 30 hour cap) but I have not worked 1 year in theory, I am 1 or 2 days short depending on how you look at it.

This will really impact my decisions since I will change provinces to apply for express entry as well. Will my work experience count as a 1 year experience for IRCC FSW?
