Hello Friends,

Is there anyone who is applying for FSW 2014 from USA, I just started the process and any help would be greatly help. Below are few questions

1. Any good consultancy in USA with reasonable fee

2. About Police report from USA ( I see online Canada website says we need to check with FBI and that process takes 16-18 weeks , is that normal. Is there any better way.

3. Funds, can we show US account or we have use only Canadian bank.

I have few more questions..if anyone in same boat we can talk and help each other..Thanks in advance.

1. Any good consultancy in the US will not have reasonable fees. Expect to pay $3K to $6K.
2. Yes - this is normal. No - there is no better way. You don't have to include the PCC with your original application. You can send it later.
3. Yes - that's fine.

Why would you want to migrate to canada when you are already in the US? Better opportunities in the US!!

Good doubt, if you are in US on F1 visa since 4 yrs and get ur work permit / H1 rejected twice you will understand..lol...instead of wasting time and money waiting for temporary H1 work permit in US , I thought its better to move to Canada on PR.

Scylla has already answered your questions, but I just want to clarify that the 16-18 weeks processing time for FBI report is outdated. Currently, it takes 4-6 weeks on average to get the report once submitted.

1. I would advise you to use lawyer in Canada it should run you 3-4 K (not including government fee);
2. FBI takes 3-4 weeks tops.
3. You can show any US account-perfectly fine. I moved from US in April. Good luck.
