FSW 2014 program end date wrt Express Entry program

I want to apply for canadian immigration under the NoC code 2145 Petroleum engineers.

Since the Express Entry program will start effective 1st Jan 2015, does that mean that even if the limit of 1000 under NOC code 2145 is not filled, applications will not be accepted against it?

Thoughts please.

The on-going FSW Programme will run till the end of April 2015 or when the 25000 total cap is filled. It may still be open in January 2015 when the Express Entry starts. If the total of 25000 cap total has not been reached by then, applications may still be accepted for your NOC provided the sub-cap for your NOC is not filled up as at that time. I hope I have made some sense?
