FSW 2014 -- How will i know if DD charged ?

I send in my application couple of week back for FSW 2014 --- now im just waiting, courier told me its been received.

How will i know if my DD has been charged ? I called my bank but they have no way of knowing since DD means amount already taken out of bank, its like a pay order. ..

Also how long till i get a PER from the date of application receipt ?
