Your NOC is hot but I would suggest you apply unless of coz you qualify in another less hot NOC, then you might need to consider that one.

I am in a bit of a dilemma. My job duties are part NOC 2174 (for the first 4-5 years) and part NOC 2173 (most recent), was wondering if I could apply it in the 2173 category seeing that the 2174 is filling up very quickly. I am concerned if I do so, they might not see that my profile matches to their requirements. I have 7 years of working experience in IT - beginning with software development, testing, production support and now on to design/development, leading teams and user requirement gathering for the past two years. I only have a bachelor's degree though. Any suggestion if these qualify for the 2173 category?

Few Things to note:
Forgot to write name in native language.
I had two different names so gave affidavit for that.
Also, only gave experience letter for last companies though provided every detail of current company.
Once again, big celebration time. I'm gonna give food to 100 poor people tomorrow.

Few things noteworthy about my app -

1. I sent additional documents which were received by Mike on May 24th. I forgot to fill my name in native language in my original app.

2. I used Employee Provident Fund as POF

3. I got a reference letter from my manager on the company letter head.

4. For the reference letter of my previous company I had used the NOC description from 2173 and 2174 merged the ones which are applicable to me and used the sentences as is. No change.

Not true. It's perfectly clear. April 30, 2015 is the last day for acceptance of FSW applications. Or when the cap fills, if before that.

This changes the game for hot NOCs such as 2174 and 1112. It seems that the occupation fills up faster than expected and we are only talking about 9 May applicants. Unfortunately I am applying for noc 1112. I just completed my application and I am now having second thoughts in submitting it. Should I risk submitting or is it better to wait for the express entry next year? Any advice forummates??

What do you have to lose by submitting it? If it's capped then you are prepared for Express Entry.

Could anyone let me know what are the next steps ?
