Assistance required for my friend.

He has mistakenly sent Copy of WES, what can he do now.. is there any way around

Ideally ask him to send a fresh application again.

Or if he has an UCI number he can try his luck by sending the original copy.

'Harshvardhan Khurana'
Fathers Name : 'Satish Khurana'

Whereas in my Bachelor's Degree My name is

Harsh Vardhan Khurana
Fathers's name is 'Satish Kumar Khurana'

If I File the WES report , will that create a problem and if yes am I supposed to attach any document to justify that these are the name of the same person.

Yes the translation document attached is notarized and the notary person has put proper stamps and seals as required.. Its just totally missed on "Affidavit of translator" part

An simple Bank cheque is something you issue ,ie you write the beneficiary name ,amount to be paid ,date and signature.
But there is no guarantee that funds would be available when the beneficiary presents the cheque at the bank.Typically a cheque bounce scenario.

DD is a lot safer for the beneficiary as the amount payable is already collected by the bank and only then does the bank issue the DD.Now it is the bank that is liable to pay and banks are a lot more trust worthy than individuals.

Certified cheque is just what it says.It is certified by the bank and payment is guaranteed.

Read on if you want to know how this works :

You nrequest for a certified cheque.
Bank verifies that funds are avail in your account .

Bank lien marks the said amount (funds still in your account but you cannot see it as available funds and also you cannot spend/withdraw that amount.The rest of your funds are still available to you )

And bank guarantees payment to beneficiary as the lien marked funds in your account is controlled by bank.

Yes you will need to have affidavit of it. Then you'll be fine.

I see a lot of translation business among our forum member.. specially for BC.. I want to share personal experience to avoid translation and related issues.

My BC was in Gujarati and name written was xxxx.
In passport, name was xxxxkumar. This is very common in India to put kumar, lal, bhai etc at the end of name..

I made an affidavit that i change my name from xxxx to xxxxkumar. I submitted that to corporation along with a request to issue BC in English.

They have now issued the new BC in English and with new name matching with my passport name. So, i will now submit only a copy of the new BC instead of submitting a bunch of documents related to translation and name change issues..

Then U should not think a lot for this brother.....I guess it will not become a major issue...

Ohh brother....Its a blunder.....Since this is a major document that need to be in original....CIC is so much strict about this document....


Just try to add a cover letter and send an original ECA to CIC...

Try to mention ur name+PP number+ DOB+NOC Code+Date of rcv of ur app.....

rest is up to them...

Pray for the best...

Can we get certified cheque in CAD currency from Indian banks if i have a saving account..? I will also check with bank but reply if you know.

But My questions still remains, since both the bachelors and masters has a different name , what name would they mention ? and will it create any issues while they are assessing the credentialis.?

In the package I have sent to CIC, I have included 3 translation documents of "Birth Certificate", for myself, spouse and a relative in Canada , however I have not included the affidavit of translator... would that be an issue?? or due to this my package would be incomplete?

If you have done the following two properly, then, there will not be any problem.
1. Notarized (certified) copy of the original Birth Certificate;
2. Notarized translation made by an official translator;

I sincerely appreciate the effort of the Immigration Gurus here.

Please guide me with the below situation:

* I've applied for FSW2014 for NOC 2173, my application is about to reach Sydney by this Saturday (21st June'14). I'm hoping it will reach before the cap is full and will be through. Fingers crossed :
* My passport has only a one word "Given Name" and blank "Surname". I have filled all the forms with: my Passport's Given name in "Family name" and blank in "Given Name/s".
* I read many posts about "Blank Surname in Passport may lead to problems"
* My passport is about to expire by Sept 2015.
* I want my "Family name" to be added in passport (by affidavit, paper notification, apply for passport process). I could not do it before sending my FSW application because of the cap filling concern.

Here comes my query:
At what stage shall I go for addition of Surname in passport ?
Please suggest.
