Most of the people here have used Bluedart... try contacting them...

or else try if you can send it via vfs... if it is available in ur city...

Thanks nikjuneja. We have VFS in my city, but would be little costly considering I just have to send a couple of copies of a document. Nonetheless I will check that option as you said. Further, although I have not inquired with blue dart, I was told that they too don't accept P.O. box address. When you sent your stuff through blue dart, did you mention the P.O. box # int the address?

I know this question has been asked several times. Pray pardon if it irritates someone.

Those who have used courier service to send documents to NDVO, did the courier service denied you at first, looking at the P.O. box number in the following NDVO address?

What did you do to still send it through courier? Does using the same address, just without the P.O. box number will make it reach CHC/ NDVO through courier?

I was told by DTDC that they or any other courier don't deliver to P.O. Box address and thus, Indian Postal service is the only option.

Its better if you try using VFS service , you could able to track your passport while ur docs are with CIC

Hello Friends,

Reporting just second time after I landed in Canada. I am sorry as I couldn't report regularly about my experiences and it was just once i shared.
I know I have many more things to share but mostly specifics so you can PM me to know if you have doubts about anything.
I have a gr8 gr8 news to share and I will share complete summary of last month since I received DM and moved swiftly to canada.

6th Feb : Got DM

8th Feb : Passport received

10th Feb : Booked the tickets for 20th Feb from Mumbai to Toronto (Ahmadabad to Mumbai - Domestic)

13th Feb : Received permission from Company to work from Canada for next four months

14th Feb : Bought 14000 CAD (12000 as DD and 2000 as Cash)

16th Feb : Completed all formalities like International driving permit, DL extract, Power of Attorney for my properties,Closed loans, done shopping and started packing

18th Feb : Completed Packing, printed form B4 (CBSA form)

19th Feb : Called and met all relatives

20th Feb : Flew by British Airways from Ahmadabad to Mumbai and Mumbai to Toronto via London. Reached Toronto on 20th Feb 7pm local time. No problem faced during immigration. Applied PR card and SIN card. Received luggage. Completed CBSA formalities and came out to meet my family friends who picked us up to his residence.

21st Feb : Visited Service Ontario for Health card application but returned due to not having residence proof. Opened Bank Account in RBC.

22nd Feb : Bought a CDMA mobile set from public mobile

24th Feb : Deposited the DD of 12000 CAD. Money received after 4 days. Bought the passes for bus.

25th Feb : Appeared for First Interview - scheduled back from India from Linked In.

26th Feb : Bought Health Insurance from local insurance company for first 90 days for self and spouse.

3rd Mar : Visited Rexdale community center and women's center for my wife. This effort was to get the Delivery medical aid without health card.

4th Mar : Appeared for Second Interview

5th March : Got G1 driving license & Got confirmation from Health center about all finances related to pregnancy will be taken care for my wife even i do not have health card.

6th Mar : Appeared for Third Interview

7th Mar : After a long search and visiting almost 8 places , finalized a nice brand new 2 bed room Basement in Etobicoke.

8th to 11th Mar : Learned Driving for G2 test

10th Mar : Bought complete glossaries for shifting at new place. ( Till date We are living at our family friend's home)

12th Mar : Received offer letter for the same job i was doing in India with same position

13th Mar : (i.e. tomorrow) I will be appearing for the G2 driving test. Wish and Pray that I pass it

15th Mar : Will move to our new place - the basement

17th Mar : First day at new job !!!

It has been a gr8 and happening journey since last 40 days. I am not even able to realize now about What happened. But with God's grace and all friend's wishes I have really been fortunate enough to pass through this transition.

you can inform the visa office after you receive AOR from respective visa office about your marriage..even before processing of your application is started...
And yes they would request for updated financial statements... and spouse educational docs.. and updated forms as well....

WES approved transcripts wont be required for your spouse.

Hi Jigzyy, Thanks for wishes.
I have landed in Toronto. Presently residing in Brampton but rented a 2 bed room basement in Etobicoke at 850 CAD - utilities included.
Let me know if you need more information about finalizing living place in Toronto. After visiting many basements and one apartment, I have understood that newcomers without credit history and employment letter will face many difficulties to find an apartment. like the application will not get selected or need to sign 12 month's lease when you do not know where you are going to work.

And so the only solution remains is the basement. Bcz there is no lease for basement and just a month's notice period to vacate.
I feel initially its better to stay in basement and once the office location is final, nearby apartment can be rented for an year.

But finding a clean and hygienic basement is also a challenging task as most of them have been used by students and they can not maintain it very well having both job and studies to do. So wish you luck for a nice one.

Hi ashif_eee, They just asked how much money you are carrying with you as I declared in landing form.
I had 2000 CAD in cash and 12000 CAD in Demand Draft.
Hope this info will help you.

They did not ask me for receipt for purchase of this funds but i carried. Its better to buy CAD with receipt.

Hi Kingfisherstrong,

When you will enter canada, CBSA guys will attend you and apply for your PR card on airport.
There is no separate application needed. You will not even need PR card application form.

CBSA officer will ask you about whether you are going to permanently stay or leave canada after a short visit.
If you want to leave, you can but in that case you need to provide them an address where they can send your PR card.
But they prefer that you stay at least for 45 days and get your PR card and return.
