Federal Skilled Worker category 2 ... Is it really fast?

I do not know what to think ... Is everything really moving fast ... It has been over a year ... and don't forget, but just to find an prospective employer in Canada can take months ... and then waiting for positive Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) from HRSDC ... I waited more than 7 months for that paper.

Good luck to you all ... waiting for your comments ...
Seniors ... What do you think, what I can expect next and when?

Look below:

October, 2010 – decided to immigrate to Canada ... started looking for a job in Ottawa and Toronto only.
November, 2010 – Success ... found a prospective employer ... company from Toronto started verifying my experience
January, 2011 – Company filed for AEO to HRSDC
February, 2011 – IELTS test done
July, 2011 – After 7 long months ... my future employer received positive AEO from HRSDC
August 1st, 2011 - application sent to Sydney NS
October 6th 2011 – processing fee charged
November 2nd, 2011 – received PER from Sydney, NS ... application was sent to Visa Office
November 24th, 2011 – received Acknowledgment Letter from Visa Office
December 5th, 2011 – Visa Office requested additional documents ... sent them next day
December 9th, 2011 – Medical Examination request ... medicals done next week.

Hi. SC and CIC i think has an agreement that if you apply under FSW 2 Arrange Employment you application will be given priority. Under the new system, it will take around 6to12 months but some say you can have it in 8 to 10 months if things are in order. I also applied uder FSW2 but until now waiting for medical...

Question, does CIC only recognize arranged employment if there is an AEO from HRSDC? What if there is a letter from my employer stating that my employer will give me a secured job in his company once I become a PR? Is that a valid arranged employment?

Only if you are working for the company on a work permit.

Yes I am. Ive been working since nov07 at the same company that gave me the arranged employment. Though we didn't obtain AEO from HRSDC but we included the letter of my employer stating that they will give a permanent job once I become a PR hopefully God willing. so just to make things clear, I have an arranged employment that will be recognized by CIC?

Hi CIC will recognize the AE even if your employer did not get any AEO from HRSDC as long as you have the offer of employment included in your application.

Btw I'm a pre June 2010 applicant. On the initial assessment at CIO they gave me 0 points on arranged employment but the letter from my employer was included in the application but then I still had more than 67 points. question is, now that my app is in Seattle VO will they still give me additional points when they review my file when they see that letter? My latest ecas update is that they reviewed & started processing my file on November 30, 2011
