Hello!
I am currently in Canada on a working visa that expires by the end of August.
After my work permit expires I would like to stay in Canada for another ~6 months as visitor. I am from a visa exempt country. Given this, do I still need to apply for a visa in order to stay in Canada and in that case, which option is the best? I am assuming at the very least I could exit Canada and return back in (this grants me 6 months of visitor status) but is there a simpler way?
What is the general procedure if I wish to stay as a visitor and I am visiting from a visa exempt country?
Thanks
